Project Spotlight
Location: Guatemala
Product: TPP 2 Post Parking Lift
Total Units: 13 units ordered
Applications: Vehicle display, commercial parking and private garage parking
Capacity: 2,300 kg and 2,700 kg
A recent project in Guatemala demonstrates how 2 post parking lifts can be adapted to very different parking needs while making better use of limited space.
Two brothers selected our TPP series parking lifts for two different applications.
One customer purchased 10 units of TPP105 and installed them in front of his vehicle business. The parking lifts are used to display and store vehicles while making better use of the available parking area.
The other customer purchased 4 units of TPP106 for his private garage, using the parking lifts to store his own vehicles. During installation, the available space was found to be smaller than originally calculated, so only 3 of the 4 ordered units could be installed.
Both applications show the flexibility of the TPP series: the same basic 2 post parking lift concept can be used for commercial vehicle storage and private garage parking, while the lifting capacity can be selected according to the weight of the vehicles.

Two Parking Applications, One Flexible 2 Post Parking Lift System
10 Units for Vehicle Display and Commercial Parking
The first customer selected 10 units of TPP105, with a lifting capacity of 2,300 kg per platform.
The equipment was installed at the entrance of his vehicle business, where the parking lifts serve two purposes: increasing the available parking positions and creating additional space for vehicle display.
For businesses that need to keep several vehicles on site, ground-level parking alone can quickly consume valuable space. A 2 post parking lift allows one vehicle to be elevated while another vehicle can remain underneath, effectively creating two parking positions within the footprint of one conventional parking space.
The completed installation provides the customer with a practical way to store and display vehicles without expanding the existing parking area.
4 Units Ordered for a Private Garage
The second customer selected TPP106, with a higher lifting capacity of 2,700 kg.
The original plan was to install four parking lifts in the garage. After checking the actual available space during installation, however, it was determined that the space could accommodate only three units.
Rather than forcing four units into an unsuitable layout, the installation was adjusted according to the actual site conditions.
This is an important part of any parking lift project: the number of lifts should always be determined by the actual available width, length, vehicle dimensions and operating space.
The customer completed the installation and shared a video showing the newly installed parking lifts.
Shared Posts Save Space and Reduce Equipment Cost
One of the useful features of the TPP system is its ability to be installed in a continuous row with shared posts.
The TPP105A and TPP105B shown in this project are not simply two unrelated models. They represent different configurations for arranging multiple parking lifts together.
When several units are installed side by side, the adjacent units can share a common post.
This means the B configuration requires one less post than the A configuration when used in a connected row.
The result is two major advantages:
- Less installation space: Shared posts reduce the overall width of a multiple-unit parking layout.
- Lower equipment cost: Fewer posts and related components are required for the connected configuration.
For projects with several parking lifts installed side by side, this configuration can make a significant difference in both the layout and overall project cost.
Choosing 2.3-Ton or 2.7-Ton Capacity
The Guatemala project also demonstrates why parking lift capacity should be selected according to the actual vehicles being stored.
The 10-unit commercial installation uses the 2,300 kg TPP105, while the private garage project uses the 2,700 kg TPP106.
The correct capacity is not simply a matter of choosing the largest available model. Instead, the equipment should be selected based on factors such as:
Vehicle Weight
Different vehicles have significantly different curb weights. Sedans, SUVs, pickups and heavier vehicles may require different lifting capacities.
Vehicle Type and Application
A vehicle showroom, storage facility, dealership or private garage may have different requirements. The parking lift should be selected according to the vehicles that will actually be stored.
Available Installation Space
The number of units that can be installed depends on the actual dimensions of the site. A professional layout should be confirmed before installation to ensure sufficient operating and access space.
TPP 2 Post Parking Lift for Commercial and Private Applications
The TPP series is designed for applications where customers want to increase parking capacity without constructing additional parking floors.
Typical applications include:
- Vehicle dealerships
- Car showrooms
- Vehicle storage facilities
- Automotive businesses
- Private garages
- Residential parking areas
- Commercial parking areas
The Guatemala project is a good example of this flexibility.
The first customer uses the lifts as part of a commercial vehicle display and storage area, while the second uses them as a private garage parking solution.
Although their requirements are different, both projects use the same fundamental principle: use vertical space to create additional parking positions.

Customer Feedback After Installation
A particularly valuable part of this Guatemala project is that both customers provided videos after installation.
For us, real installation feedback is more meaningful than simply showing product photos.
The videos demonstrate the equipment after installation and provide a real-world reference for customers who are considering 2 post parking lifts for vehicle storage, display or private garages.
The projects also show an important point: parking equipment should be selected and arranged according to the actual site conditions and vehicle requirements.
From commercial vehicle display to private garage parking, the TPP series can be configured to make better use of available vertical space.
